Persona aka yours truly – is a new up and coming artist. One who enjoys the craft, sculpts new songs with a purpose, and is looking to have a good time. Best case scenario with music is that I get rich and famous off of songs that represent who I am. Worst case scenario, I get rich and famous off of being fake.
Why did I choose the name Persona? Well, there is a multitude of reasons. First, I, Matthew Terry, have a multitude of personas. I’m an engineer, computer scientist, blogger, entrepreneur, etc. And when it came time to determine the name of my musical persona, persona seemed to be the best fit. Also, in my music I want to represent different personas of myself and others – this name allows me to do that. Through my entrepreneurship experiences, I’ve learned how important it is to have an expandable brand. A brand that doesn’t ”put you in a box”. I am a complicated person who likes to explore different things and ideas. This name is broad enough for me to pull off different fun and creative things, without stretching my perception to my fans. For example, if I ever wanted to try a new voice or mimic an artist’s style I can just say I’m personifying them. It’s in the name.
Today, I released the first song I am truly proud of! It’s platinum and everyone is saying it’s fire 🔥 🔥 🔥. Find the link in the references section. I’m excited for my journey to the top.
